A near-complete rebuild of an existing home on its original foundation, designed to capitalize on a stunning Lake Washington site. The project added meaningful living space, repositioned the home around its views, and introduced new outdoor entertaining areas oriented to the water.
The homeowners wanted to dramatically upgrade an existing house without abandoning its footprint or location. The priorities were a modern, well-organized home that took full advantage of the lake views, expanded usable interior space, and created a strong indoor-outdoor connection for entertaining.
We demolished the existing structure down to its platform and rebuilt the home on top of the original foundation, adding new living space over what had been a carport (now an enclosed garage). To anchor the project's defining feature — the views — we built a covered deck and patio off the rear of the house, creating year-round outdoor living space oriented directly to Lake Washington.
